NOVAL was created to bring together artists who want to share their ideas with each other and the community. We are a diverse group of beginner to professional artists producing work in all media: photography, watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, etc. We have a monthly meeting and plein air art outing -- painters and photographers. We have our own shows in local businesses, restaurants and in juried shows. Some of the juried shows include "Art at the Mill" in Millwood, the Aldie Mill Art Show and the Oatlands Plantation Art Show. We also get invited to do painting demos for other organizations. We'd love to share our work with you. Monthly Meetings 2nd Wednesdays 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sully District Governmental Center 4900 Stonecroft Blvd., Chantilly, VA 20151 (Take the Westfields Blvd exit W off Rt. 28. Rt. on Stonecroft Blvd. First building on the Left) The meetings give us a chance to gather as a group to discuss where we'd like to exhibit, go on art outings, critique work, membership recruitment, workshops, art supply sales and everything else about art. There are always good snacks too! Membership dues is $25.00 per year. Just attend a meeting or an art outing or give us a call. April 2009 Art Outing We will be painting at the Great Falls Park, Virginia side on Saturday, April 18th and local artist Christine Lashley will be giving a plein air watercolor demo from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
